Human Resource Analyst I (# EM023)
Virginia Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services seeks a skilled person to serve as the lead analyst.
Responsibilities:
This position independently performs a variety of administrative tasks and services in support of the Office of Emergency Medical Services. Work regularly requires extreme discretion, interpretation of policies, procedures or processes and frequent interaction with various government employees and officials. With supervisory input performs HR functions to include: Recruitment, Compensation, Benefits and, HR Transactions. Addresses all actions associated with recruitment, selection, pay determination, documentation, benefits administration, FLSA, classification and performance management. Tracks the development & maintenance of Employee Work Profiles, performance actions & grievances. Develops office training plan & needs assessment. Skills/Experience:
The ideal applicant will have considerable knowledge of human resource and budget principles and practices, including federal and state laws and regulations. Ability to accurately analyze, interpret and provide guidance on policies in compensation and classification, benefits, employment and employee relations. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize work and communicate information effectively orally and in writing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel. Ability to gather information and prepare reports independently, confidentiality.
Degree from an accredited college or university in public administration or business administration preferred or an equivalent combination of training and work experience.
