The PEMS Regional Medical Advisory Committee and the PEMS Board of Directors are pleased to present the regional EMS Triage Plans Update that includes the introduction of two new plans for STEMI and Stroke patients. The PEMS staff will begin the Triage Plan rollout for the Regional STEMI, Stroke, and Trauma Plans beginning in November, with Train-the-Trainer sessions. These training sessions are scheduled for 3½ hours to cover all three plans, address questions, and assist in developing strategies for provider training. Trainers must register for the date they wish to attend by going to the PEMS website, and locating the Train-the-Trainer section. Remember to bring your certification card so your attendance can be scanned. The schedule for Train-the-Trainers is:

Trainers are expected to provide agency level training between completion of the Train-the-Trainer class and January 31. Each agency OMD is responsible to set the date of implementation for each agency. However, the EFFECTIVE date for all three regional plans implementation should not be later than February 1, 2011!
PEMS Staff Led Provider Classes
PEMS will conduct the following PROVIDER classes. However, DO NOT delay providing or taking the training at the agency/squad level as these classes will have EXTREMELY limited seating availability and preregistration will be REQUIRED; go to the PEMS website! The sessions are 3½ hours to cover all three plans and address questions that arise.
