New Training Opportunities in the PEMS Region

PEMS is excited to announce a new educational initiative in the PEMS Region with a series of hybrid NAEMT courses. Partnering with Rappahannock Community College, we are beginning with the following courses: Prehospital Trauma Life Support, Emergency Pediatric Care, and Advanced Medical Life Support. The cost for each course is $150.00 which will include the online portion along with the required in-person skills portion.  Seats are limited to 18 students per session.

Once a student registers for one of these courses, their name will be placed on a roster with PEMS.  Two weeks prior to the course practicum date, a code for the online coursework and test will be sent to each student's enrollment email address.  The student will be required to complete the online coursework and didactic test prior to the coming to the practicum.

In order to participate in the practicum, the student will have to bring their Eventbrite enrollment ticket and proof of successful completion of the online instruction and test. After successful completion of the online and in-person practicum skills portion, the student will receive a NAEMT electronic certificate of completion.  In addition, Virginia EMS CEUs will be awarded to EMS providers certified by the Office of EMS for completion of the course.
